June 21st, 2009
Now on to bigger and better things! Its in the early morning and i am a little bored so i think today is going to be a two post day. First off we are celebrating the famous and always elusive...handshake day...ooooooo ahhhhhh. Its something you most likely do everyday but take is for granted so much! The origin of the handshake is one that can be practically traced back to medieval Europe, the land of kinds and knights. One knight would reach out his hand to the other and the would grasp together hands as a sign that they did not carry any concealed weapons. So next time you give a handshake maybe you should think about that. Now, on this day of the celebration of the handshake, here's what you should do...pick one person to give a handshake to this Sunday morning...one and only one, and make it special, and let them know you chose them as your one handshake on this national handshake day. Maybe make it your father! Because after all today is a double celebration day and we will be celebrating Father's Day today also. So think of Kings, think of Knights and think of Fathers as you celebrate this glorious day of honor and valor. Fair thee well mine friends...also to learn about the handshake, you can check out THIS site.

Alright alright alright....all you clowns come out of the closet because....its NJD...i know you know that you know i do....yeah...NATIONAL JUGGLING DAY people! come on...you didn't know...I'm so disappointed in you...whatever though. If you have never tried juggling today is the day to do so! Its time for you to open up you life to new possibilities and think with a positive attitude that you can do it! In the words of my good friend EMAC..."not with that attitude your not!"...and he is right attitude is everything with these kinds of things. If you think you aren't going to be able to do it, odds are you won't, but so many things can be accomplished with a little can-do attitude and some elbow grease! So get out there, be posotive and JUGGLE! everything is A-OKAY!

Story
October 27, 1854
Captains Log
Location: Somewhere off the Scandinavian Coast, Fjords in Sight at times.
We have been sailing blind for three days now. The storm seems to keep constant watch over our ship. We started to take on so much water that we had to throw off most of our cargo, including all of the Botargo, and the special shipment from Honaga that we were told never to open. We barely lasted through the night. Yesterday when Davies was coming down form his post on the Crows nest, he spotted some spec over yon, how he saw it I’ll never know, but as we approached it looked like the worst. It was a small dun gunter rig and it seemed to have run aground, however we were at least 40 fathoms deep. I waffled whether or not to approach it. I couldn’t help myself. I lead them as their Fuher, not wavering in courage, as to not be guyed still because of the last boarding, when I…never mind. As we boarded an uricatious sensation befelled my bones. No one seemed to be on board, not even what was left of someone. We went below, and could not believe our eyes. 7 chests sitting there waiting to we cracked. The first contained nothing but a group of cow figurines. We left the kine to look for the next chest. The second was much more valuable. It was filled with thousands of Jun. I had Sammy carry that chest back onto our ship. Suddenly I heard something in the back of the cargo hold, I drew my sword and whipped around to find a man crawling towards me speaking in a low whisper. I hoseled my sword and leaned down hear what he spoke. “Take it to the qanat…that’s the only way to rid yourself of it…to the...qanat…” he fell to the ground, cold as ice. I had no clue of his meaning, and frankly could care less I left him a pourboire and bid him adieu.
I will always remember that night. The night I should have listened. The night…I was curs

The Saving.

In order to really know about me, you have to first know about my heart, and the thing that is a t my very core is Jesus. He is the reason for all I do and he gives me a hope for tomorrow and a light to show others that same hope. I have been a “Christian” my whole life. I was raised in the church, went to Sunday school, and went to VBS, all the normal things. Youth group since I was 12 and went to all the retreats. However, it wasn’t till I was in 9th grade that I really took the step to deepen my relationship with Him. It was at a winter youth camp that I could no longer sit in mediocrity and I found myself hungering after something deeper and something more meaningful, something that could truly rock the foundation of my life to its very core. I expected something amazing to happen. Some immediate change, like when I got back to the normal everyday life it was going to be so radically different that people weren’t going to be able to recognize. Then after a while I realized that it wasn’t something that was just going to happen. It was something that I had to put effort into. I had to work. A relationship isn’t just something that you take from. Its about giving too. They say that it is better to give than to receive. Well I didn’t really understand that until I started to give to Christ. Day by day the more I turned over to him the more I saw my life begin to change and the more I discovered how he takes a hold of every part of who I am. It is still hard and it’s still something that takes work, but my faith is something that develops more and more everyday. The testing of your faith develops perseverance and that is something that comes with being a follower of Christ. That’s what makes this life such a battle, is that we aren’t just fighting against having to balance time, or other types of distractions, but its that fact that behind those distractions are forces that would like it nothing more than for us to face our ultimate demise. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”* The only person who can fight these battles is Christ in our place. We have to give all of our struggles and battles to him for him to fight, and that’s the only was we can ever be victorious.
